This digital thermostat, connected to your home's existing WiFi connection, provides you with remote access from any WiFi-enabled device. Download the free app to your smartphone or tablet for virtual access to your thermostat, allowing you to program or reprogram it on the fly.
The RTH6580WF is ENERGY STAR certified, helping you save energy and track your heating and cooling with monthly energy reports. It also provides personalized tips on reducing energy use. Moreover, you can save even more by checking with your energy provider about available energy savings rebates (refer to the rebate finder link above). Eligible customers can even enroll in their local Utility's "DEMAND RESPONSE PROGRAM," which can reward them for allowing the utility to slightly adjust their AC or furnace temperature settings during high energy demand.
Before purchasing, ensure that this thermostat is compatible with your home and determine if it requires a C-wire power adapter. The Wi-Fi 7-Day is also compatible with voice assistant devices like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Microsoft Cortana, and more, allowing for smart home integration.
The thermostat's 7-day, 4 periods per day, flexible programming feature lets you sync your comfort with your schedule. Its big, backlit digital display and easy controls make for a user-friendly experience. You can choose from the Total Connect Comfort app or the Resideo app to control your Wi-Fi thermostat anytime, anywhere.
The RTH6580WF is compatible with forced air (gas, oil, or electric), hot water and steam, and heat pumps with electric backup. However, it does not work with electric baseboard heat (120-240V) and requires a C-Wire. It is also compatible with most heat/cool oil furnace systems but will not work with heating-only oil furnace systems unless a C-Wire is present. Additionally, you can view local weather from the web portal or app.
