It connects to all Lennox communicating products, automatically configuring and controlling your heating/cooling system. The thermostat ensures a personalized and convenient experience with its user-friendly touchscreen, multiple schedules, Smart Away feature, live weather data, and easy installation via the Lennox Smart Technician app.
Featuring a 7-inch high-definition color display, the S40 Smart Thermostat offers easy readability and a touchscreen interface for effortless system configuration and maintenance alerts. It is compatible with most 24VAC furnaces, air conditioners, air handlers, and heat pumps (up to 3 stages of heat and 2 stages of cooling), except for communicating HVAC equipment other than LENNOX.
The thermostat also supports conventional HVAC systems with the optional Equipment Interface Module (EIM) for control. The Smart Zoning System (iHarmony) allows whole-home zoning with complete control from the S40 Smart Thermostat.
Weather-On-Demand provides live weather data and seven-day forecasts, while the Installer setup screens enable quick system configuration without a manual. The thermostat can run tests on the complete system or individual components for maintenance and troubleshooting, and the Service Dashboard enables real-time monitoring of installed smart systems.
To enhance temperature and air quality control, the S40 Smart Thermostat is compatible with advanced accessories like the Smart Room Sensor, Smart Air Quality Monitor, and Wireless Extender. It maintains efficient operating conditions by receiving information from digital controls and the PureAir S Air Purification System.
The advanced communicating controls in specific heating and cooling units, PureAir S Air Purification System, and Healthy Climate HRV/ERV (Heat/Energy) Recovery Ventilators transmit information about various operating parameters to the thermostat, allowing it to constantly maintain the most comfortable and efficient operating conditions.
The S40 Smart Thermostat is backed by a hassle-free 10-year warranty coverage against any manufacturing defects or malfunctions. To maintain the warranty validity, it is necessary to hire a certified HVAC installer for the proper installation. Failure to use a professional HVAC installer may void the warranty, and the item cannot be returned or refunded if not professionally installed. Instructions on how to register for the warranty are included in the box.
