The RTH7600D 7-Day Programmable Touchscreen Thermostat is a feature-rich device that offers a large touch-screen display and Smart Response Technology, automatically adjusting the heating and cooling of your home to keep you comfortable at your programmed times. With its Auto Change from Heat to Cool function, the transition between heating and cooling is seamless. Moreover, this thermostat is compatible with a wide range of systems, making installation a breeze.
The large touchscreen display allows you to easily set your preferred temperature or establish a weekly schedule for automated adjustments. You can also set home and away temperatures to help save energy when you're not home, and take advantage of temporary and permanent hold settings for extended absences.
The thermostat's 7-Day menu-driven programming offers 4 periods per day, and the backlit touchscreen display shows the current room temperature and set point temperature simultaneously. The installation and usage of this device are straightforward, and it features a real-time clock that automatically adjusts for Daylight Savings Time.
The Smart Response Technology enables the thermostat to learn how long the furnace and air conditioner take to reach the programmed temperature settings, ensuring you're comfortable at the expected time. The Auto changeover feature is particularly useful in climates where both air conditioning and heating are required on the same day, automatically selecting the appropriate mode based on the indoor temperature.
To protect your system and compressor, the thermostat includes a setting that forces the compressor to wait a few minutes before restarting. Additionally, the screen can display an alert when it's time to replace your filter and notify you of low batteries.
The RTH7600D is powered by batteries (2 AA batteries) or can be hard-wired, and it is compatible with a wide range of HVAC systems, including single-stage heating and cooling, multistage heating and cooling, heating-only, cooling-only, furnaces (warm air), central air conditioning, heat pumps (with or without auxiliary heat), hot water, steam or gravity, 750 millivolt, and gas fireplaces.
